hi there again folks

i have a problem with my speedo and fuel guage not working...posts here suggest that the ecu will have to be reprogrammed if i fit another cluster panel - i have only one key and it don't look like an immobiliser key.

so, my car being a y reg 2000 1.9 sdi, will it have a immobilser in it?

i do not have the key for the replacement cluster and even if i did i would have to change the ignition barrel..

any light on the matter will be appreciated.

Have you checked all your fuses?

Echo checking fuses. But to answer the question yes there is an immobiliser on all integrated in the dash panel. There's a tiny chip inside the key. It's possible to program your existing keys to the immobiliser using VCDS, but I'm not entirely sure on the process.
