Mystery plastic covering removed from my Skoda Fabia

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Hope you all had a nice festive season. I have a mystery piece that has come out of my 2005 skoda Fabia 1.9 Sdi hatchback and was wondering if anyone could help me with it. A bit of googling has identified it as a battery cover but have no idea how to get it back on and the Haynes manual isn't much help. Cheers.

Here's a link to a picture of the part I am describing

Sorry about the post title - iPad doesn't like the word Fabia

Welcome to this forum

In a word - No

Where did you find it?

Welcome!

Can you post a photo of the actual part?

I've never seen that part from the pic in the link!

A battery cover?

If it looks exactly like that one it's not from a Fabia, that's an Octavia one.

I was going to say battery cover aswell off a leon/octavia etc

Thanks for the fast replies guys, it is really appreciated. It is definitely from my Fabia because I took it off but for the life of me can't figure out how it goes back on. I do have a photo of it and just trying to figure out how to upload it from an iPad- bear with me!

Hooray! It worked. Let me know if other angles would be more useful.

It simply slides back on the longer side to the front of the car...

Thats an octy one as said above, Same as mine

Is there an underside to the battery cover? Like a piece of plastic the battery sits in? If so it could be that!

It's a mk1 octy battery cover, dunno if the fabia has the same one.
