02 octavia vrs flat spot

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I'm after some advice if possible, when driving my vrs nicely I have an intermittent flat spot when it just about to boost. It is much more noticeable in first gear just pulling away.

Has anyone had any issues like this or any idea what it could be.

My car it totally standard as I've only had it 4 weeks. There are not fault codes on it at all.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Try cleaning the throttle body, it may have never been cleaned in which case it'll be caked up with cooked-on oil and muck.

Well I've cleaned the throttle body today and no more flat spot thank god. I've also put some of the VW sharan rear caliper springs on as well and no more hideous noise from the rear brakes. I'll put the part numbers down just incase anyone needs them, best £4.50 I've spent lol.

Springs took 2 mins to fit didn't even need to jack the car up.

Thanks for your help
