Head unit wiring to sub trouble!

Featured Replies

Hey all, I am trying to install a sub and new head unit to my 2006 fabia VRS. I have wired the sub up to everything except my Sony GT650oui head unit. The problem occurs when I attach the audio wires to the head unit that connect to the sub. The problem is that at the back of the dash there is a peice of horizontal palstic, that when I push the head unit into the dash, blocks the audio leads that attach to the sub... Does anyone know how to get around this problem? Is the peice of plastic crucial to the structure of the dash, or could i cut it out to create room for the audo leads? I have purchased some of the 90 degree adaptors from Maplins that have allowed the headunit to sit about 1/2 cm from sitting flush with the rest of the center console.

Thanks for any help!

Chop it out, it will be just fine. Have done it many times, just do one side if you can.
