Another question..

How do you guys with SSD's manage your data? My steam library is already bigger than the SSD ive ordered, but i dont play all of the games.

I read somewhere about setting up symbolic links with NTFS, but that sounds like it asking for trouble.

+1 for steam mover

I have a 50gig partition for windows and associated ****e (with "my documents" moved off to another drive) and the rest.. 70-odd gig for games.

Youll need at least 40gig for a good "working" windows installation with associated programs and profiles.. ive only got 4gig left of my 50gig

I use the SSD as my primary games drive, and then move stuff off to HDD as and when i have something new to play.

I recently was doing some reading up an SSD's.

Didn't want to spend a lot of money or anything mega as it was for my Lenovo Ideapad S12 netbook. It is already fairly quick as it has 3GB RAM and nVidia ION graphics but felt it could be quicker.

I actually bought a drive for some HP laptop. It's a samsung 128gb drive and it cost very little off ebay.

Has made a hug difference to the speed of the laptop and It's now as quick if not quicker booting from fresh than it used to be resuming from hibernate.

As said abaove make sure your SATA controller has just the standard Microsoft one installed as any other won't allow TRIM to function.
