I use super resin once a month and a glaze/wax on top of that every 3 months.

Righty ill give that a try, i got the auto glym kit with the car and tbh not a clue when to how or what to lol, always usually just rinse wash and polish :)

By doing the monthly SRP your going to be taking the wax off, you need to polish and then you use wax on top to seal it and preserve the polishing you have done, then you can keep topping up with wax when required, or if the paint is looking dull, remove the lot and polish to bring the paint back to its best and wax to protect again

Extra Gloss Protection (EGP) goes on after the Super Resin Polish (SRP).

The SRP contains some detergents so will remove eg tar spots etc, the EGP is literally just a wax, wipe on gently (very quick and easy) then buff up when dry. Both products are quick to buff up, just leave the car for a bit so it's completely set before buffing.

I used to use this regularly on a red Saxo. At 7 years old the paint was still in excellent condition with a consistent (and shiney!) colour and finish all over, and no fading whatsoever. Obviously everything else was falling apart by then though.

the EGP is literally just a wax

EGP isnt a wax ..Its a sealer

Hard resin to be pedantic..., the point is, it's not a cleaning agent.

the extra gloss protection is meant to be used to give a layer of protection/sealant over the super resin polish. Ideally you would polish it first (super resin polish) before protecting it (extra gloss protection).

Every time i wash my car i always put at least 2 coats of wax on the car as i believe there is never to much wax on the car as it adds protection all the time.

May I also recommend AutoGlyms 'Aquawax' as a maintenance wash solution

Super Resin Polish is just that, a polish. Takes out swirls and dullness. Extra Gloss Protection is a sealant that seals in your nice, shiny, polished finish. It will add an element of protection to the finish, but only for a week max. A wax on top of this protects the surface from the elements, daily road contamination and also minor scratching (to a point) for longer. This will help such contaminants be washed off more easily also

Aquawax is sprayed on while the car is wet, using the water to help the product spread, and the microfibre towel used to do so dries the car at the same time (no watermarks from drying on the car). I've found this product to last nearly a month from a single application, evident from the continued beading. I use it as a 'top-up' on my Monte which has been wearing a coat of harder wearing (and more expensive) HD Wax from new, which is still going strong from September. The Aquawax is thrown into the drying stage of fortnightly maintenance washes to add another layer of protection through this tough time of year.

Smithy

If you want long lasting I recommend Collinite, I put one layer on and 3 months later the water still beads and is shiny after a wash.
