RAC out to the Monte

Featured Replies

Had to call Skoda assist out on NYE, popped the boot open using the fob button and the alarm started going, couldn't silence it for toffee, after 20 mins the alarm silenced but hazards were flashing still. RAC arrived, tried resetting it by powering down but same situation, in the end it was sorted by shaking the boot lid up and down. He said they have changed the connector points to the alarm to a micro something in the actual lock, and basically there S***. told me water had got into it and was causing the alarm to trip and if it happens again to take it down to the dealers and get it sorted and resealed all under warranty. sorry for the essay, any one else had anything similar? or am I just unlucky?????

thanks

sounds new to me, never heard of it happenening before....

Have to say the fitment of an alarm is my one dissapointment with the current range; completely pointless irritating rubbish - IMHO!
