Need help: alarm light on driver's door is on all the time

Featured Replies

Hi

Today I noticed that the red light that should be just flashing when you have turned your alarm system on, is now lighted all the time; parked and alarm system on, parked and alarm system off, while driving..

Is there a back up battery for alarm system and is this signaling that the battery is dying out? Anyone experienced similar "problem" with that light?

I phoned to Skoda service but they couldn't say the reason, I'm already desperate though it isn't affecting anything (atleast not at the moment).

MK1

The light (led) I beleive is telling you that the central door locking is activated and is not connected to the alarm, it could be a failure of the diode in the led or a fault in the central locking door card.

I'll move this

I think a non-flashing LED means non-deadlock doors, or that the factory-fit alarm is disabled (if fitted).
