i just installed LED replacement bulbs for the interior lights fitted them ok and when i went tested them the drivers side map light wouldnt work. i tried the original light back in and that still worked, so i tried the led bulb the other way round and still wouldnt work so i tried the other led bulb in its place and that didnt work either. i have tried both bulbs and they both work but the drivers side map light just doesnt seem to like LED. anyone got any ideas as to why?

Could be that you have unintentionally rotated the bulb holder inside the light unit, or the pins on the bulb are not making contact. When lens is removed there's two screws. Remove these and the light unit comes out then you can more closely examine it.

The crappy metal contact pins on the led may need adjusting by bending them slightly to touch the contacts in the map light.

I tried bending slightly the connectors in the bulb holder but I'll try that again. The bulb works in the other holder as that was my first thought. I'll try removing unit weekend possibly I'll also try bending the connectors on the led itself. Cheers for help.

Only thing I can think is the bulb holder is displaced. It sort of twists off and can be removed from the main unit. I unintentionally did this myself when fitting LED bulbs. They twist a bit like a bayonet bulb. I did not realise they were a push and pull fit at first, so if you tried twisting...
