Gearbox problem

Featured Replies

Hy all,

I need advice what to do,the problem is really strange..

I did the G60/VR6 conversion, peloquin diff etc.. and i cannot shift into gear when engine is hot and running or is really hard to shift.

When the engine is off, there is no problem everything is smooth. Also if the engine is cold i can drive and shift without any problem.

We have checked the oil level and is OK, also changed the slave cylinder in gearbox but without success.

If i want to select first gear i have to switch the engine off, select gear and then start the engine, also i have noticed during the start of the engine car starts to move forward and i have to push the brakes and stop the car moving forward.

The clutch is not a problem because we have checked it twice and if it was it wouldn`t be smooth while the engine is cold or moderate.

Please help me!

Have you checked your linkages?

It's a strange one, my motorbike done this and it was the clutch.. with the car moving forward itself it sounds as if the clutch is not fitted properly and is constantly slightly biting hence moving forward..

definitely sounds like the clutch to me, have you over filled the gearbox?

Yeah the car creeping forward sounds like the clutch isn't fully engaging correctly.

It's really important to bleed the clutch with a pressure bleed, & not the pump the pedal method or the slave cylinder seal tends to collapse.

Today I drove the car and clutch is perfect, but soon as engine warms up the problems starts :'(

Something is definitely wrong with hydraulic system, ether I have a leak somewhere, system is not bleed ed properly or master cylinder is playing tricks on me
