Hit curb.It looks ok though.Anything I should look for

Featured Replies

I hit a curb today going about 30mph.The tyre caught the edge then went up it a bit.

It seems to be ok though;not bent or anything, and no scuffed wheel.

Do you think it should be alright? Just a bit OCD about it cos it was only the other day I said to myself,I'm doing well cos I haven't hit a curb since I bought it 10,000 miles ago

keep an eye on the tyre pressure and just listen out for any "new noises" coming from that area. Oh and keep an eye on your tracking....

Look for any bulges/damage in your tyre.. any loss in tyre pressure

Make sure you don't get any new creeks/knocks over bumps either, could have knackered some bushes/top mounts etc etc on impact.

Tracking okay?

30mph.. bloody hell, bet that **** you up a bit!

I cut a tight corner coming on to my gfs road not so long ago, it hit the curb at such an angle that my rear wheel just drove up the curb but I was travelling pretty quick and the back end hopped off the ground but luckily didn't damage anything.. (I know, cool story bro :wonder: )

Yeah, tracking seems ok.I though I ruined the wheel when I heard the scrape, but luckily it was the tyre. Thanks! I'll keep an eye out on all those things.

You were lucky lew you hit the back, not as many bits to go wrong

Carefully inspect the bottom wishbone arm, they can crack when belted hard. Also check bottom ball joint. Remember to check the inside tyre wall for damage, all too often people only check the outer side wall.
