Help with performance clutch

Featured Replies

Hi all

as some of you know iv had my car remapped and loving the new found power but its coming at a price, clutch slip. Been told that its most likely the pressure plate that cant handle the extra torque, which i figured so im going to look into getting something performance wise.

the first brands that spring to mind are JBS and Sachs, they both so clutch kits for the 2.0tdi 6 speed and iv got a few questions;

Which one do you recommend? and there any others to concider?

Only one of the kits comes with a release bearing, can i use an OEM bearing?

Also does anyone know the gearbox code? I dont want to order the wrong one!

Cheers :thumbup:

Got the Sachs on mine from Jkm. Although initially a little stiffer, really couldn't notice any difference now. No issues at all in stop start traffic and handles all the power with ease. I used the standard flywheel but changed the release bearing.

The gearbox is an 02Q. I just got the Southbend Stage 2 daily single mass flywheel and clutch.
