Hi, welcome to the forums, I doubt that car is running 300bhp (mostly because it seems to be on alpha accelerata tyres! lol..)

anyway, the highest power build of a mark I is probably jasons (devonutopia) think its running circa 260-280 bhp? not sure though...

have a look around the mark 1 section, there are loads running over 200+ and a projects thread in each section too :)

edit: lol. just found this in the mark I section, a list of power modded mark I vRS's:

1. CT17 (283.8bhp)

2. devonutopia (275.3bhp)

3. warwick hunt (270bhp)

4. sausage roll (251bhp)

5. xa0sx (240.1bhp)

6. gavinchappell (238 bhp)

7. dano (228.8bhp)

8. TrevorB33 (213bhp)

9. ROS53Y (201bhp)

Hello and welcome. Nice sounding list of cars there.

welcome to briskoda

Hi and welcome!

I've also come from sport jap and moved to a mk1 fabia, I doubt that you'll get 300 out of a it but TDI are a different feeling than jap engines and a 200/240 bhp will give you a good kick in the back when booting

good points are great mpg (I'm doing 50 with 200bhp) and when going shopping you dont really park at the very end of the car park taking over 2 spaces, what I found difficult is not missing my old car (350Z) performances and fun to dirve.
