New to briskoda, skoda's and driving.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, passed my test in August of last year, knowing I wanted a Skoda Fabia. 5 days later I bought her, just the 1.2 HTP 3-cylinder jobby (was quite worried due to even my motorbike having 4-cylinders :S). But to be honest, I love it; from the banter I get at work for owning a Skoda, to driving the 12-valve beast :D. Being 18 I am possibly one of the youngest briskodians, but have already used the site thoroughly and can't believe how much information is in this Skoda Library.

So about my car, had a brilliant history being within the same family from brand new; had always been serviced and stamped, good nick and most of all consisted of 'JLO' in the reg ;).

Have already bought an official body kit off of ebay, and all of the paint to do the job. I believe someone else on here has also bought one; it's with the vrs looking rear bumper and exhaust tip, spoiler extender piece, plasticky arches and front bumper.

Done a couple of mods, but with more intended including: short-shift, silver air vent surrounds and ashtray/gear stick surround, semi-debadge and couple of stickers (including the ever-so-popular briskoda logo).

Please do not be disgusted I currently am running Mk 3 golf BBS alloys, due to being £60 with great tyres, considering a change but the car likes them so no rush :).

Also bought a cheap Ripspeed stereo, but love the screen.

Lastly some cheap leather-wannabe seat covers so I dont have to stare at the little dancing people on my seats :p.

AND A F***ING GOOD CLEAN!

Been lazy and now want to start posting, continue learning and sharing with others. Hopefully, plans are to upgrade in the near future (VRS if funds allow {INSURANCE}).

Scared of going on a mad one with a 1.2 and spend that much I could have just bought a VRS.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome to Briskoda, sounds like your already on a modding bug :) I agree, don't do too much to it, after all it's only your first car and will allow you to save more for your vrs ;)

Welcome...as has been said, don't do too much at it or it will lose its cult status

welcome to briskoda

Hello zac and welcome along

Hi and welcome Zac, as already said, resist and save your money for insurance on a vRS
