My wife and I just bought a red 2008 Octavia TDI vRS Combi with 70,000k, and we are blown away by what an incredible car it is. A joy to drive and everything about it so well thought out and engineered.

If it proves reliable as well (which I expect it will!) then we may well become Skoda zealots. You never see Skodas here so there's room for more on the roads for sure.

Great forum - I browsed it extensively while trying to choose between the Yeti and Octavia (and VW Tiguan!). You can't buy a 2008 Yeti so in the end it came down to price and boot space, and after seeing the quality of the car we don't feel like we've had to compromise on anything with the Octavia.

Welcome to the forum. Great choice. I had a similar car until I switched to the yeti 3 months back. You should have plenty happy motoring ahead :p
