Engine management light fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Hello all, this is my first post and i just thought i would share my engine fault issue. Whilst driving my 2005 fabia vrs i reached about 4000 rpm and it appeared to lose power. At the same time the engine management light illuminated along with the coil light which was flashing. the car drives fine up to 4000 rpm which leaves it driveable. I took the car to a VAG specialist to get the fault read. The results showed a faulty engine speed sensor. Basicly this is a sensor that measures the position pf the crankshaft positioned at the front of the engine, just to the right of the air condioning compressor. The long and short of it is £60 part which is an easy install. Hope my little story helps with anyone else having similar issues.

Very good of you that west_244, welcome along to Briski by the way :)
