Hi everyone, well i am stuck in rome as my 2006 superb 140 would not start this morning. I have just covered over 1,000 miles from the uk and all was fine until this morning. The engine fired then died and will not restart. The only thing i have noticed is that when i usualy start the engine i can hear the pump priming ( sounds like a squelching noise)and now i can not hear this noise. I have checked fuses etc all ok. anyone have any ideas ? i have a recovery truck coming tomorrow morning.

Lack of noise on "key on" is possibly a sign of failed lift pump in the tank. Or blown fuse.

Hi thanks for reply, is the fuse in the box on the right hand side of the dash ? i have checked these and cannot find any blown fuses although the description on the id card i found in there is not very clear.

The lift pump doesnt normally run everytime when you turn the ignition on.

I take it the engine is turning over but wont start?
