Any opinions on these tyres?

Ditch finders. Doubt you will find decent VRS tyres for less than £100 a corner. I managed to get P Zero Nero's for £65 a corner last year, but they are now £112 a corner

Not ditch finders at all!!

I had Falkens put on my FL vRS after having contys( which wear way too quick btw) they performed just as well as the contys.

I paid about £75 a corner (18's) about 8 months ago.

Good mid range tyre IMHO.

+1.

Or look for Maxxis MAZ1, I got them for £86 a corner. As good as anything else I've had.

I disagree. I have never paid more than £80 per corner for my vRS (7 years of ownership). The last set of Toyo T1-R's being £80 each.

The Falkens are ok, but I don't htink they like snow/ice any more than any other performance tyre.

For summer use in conjunction with a set of winters, they are great.

Got them on the front of my octy. Wet or Dry had no problems with them. decent tyre in MY opinion.emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

I've ran these tyres for donkeys years on my cars.

No problem at all, wet snow or dry!

I'll go for them again (but in 245 section) when I need the next set.

Falken's are very good :)

I saw these but ive had nothing but problems with directional tread tyres on my fabia vrs, with road noise that is.

I think ill order the falkens then!

Good choice. There's a lot of old twaddle claimed around the so called "performance" of tyres for normal road use.

I have had about 5 sets of Falken ZIEX912's and I couldn't say a bad word against them. I do huge mileage on all sorts of roads and I like a "sporty" drive. I have been repping for 20years and do 40-50,000miles a year and even if money was no object,I wouldn't pay the silly prices for the so called "premium" brands.

my dad uses falkens on his skyline and swears by them in both wet and dry conditions.

I have been using them on the mini for the last 120,000 miles. Decent grip wet or dry. Predictable and progressive at the limit, at least as good as t1r imo. Noise wise they are quieter than average. Not the last word in absolute grip, something at twice the price and wear rate may give you 5% more.

Never had those tyres and in fact what tyres to chose sometimes seems quite subjective. I had Toyos that were rubbed out very quickly on the fabia with brisk driving through bends yet others love them. In fact I liked Toyos on my Peugeots. Really horses for courses so I moved to Exaltos and the Fab and so far, touch wood, in spite of the higher price seem to be holding up well and grip excellently.

Just wanted to update this really. I went with the 912s in the link in the first post and have been running them for around 2 months now.Really impressed with them, they provide good grip in all conditions including the snow and are very quiet. Theyre also hard wearing having done 4k on them now and still have bags of tread. So all in all, recommended!

Kool I've got a pair of 452s to go on so mine will at last have them all round when I put my summers back on, which was this week but has been put back abit due to the weather lol
