Hi my OCY 1 is smelling really fuely and is drinking it like there's no tomorrow HELP

CTS failure maybe.

How is it running?

Any fault codes?

Has the cat disintegrated? You said yesterday it was a 2 litre, my mate had a mk4 golf with the same engine that **** the insides of the cat out going down the motorway and after that it was only getting about 20mpg, he had to have a new cat fitted.

I'd get it into a garage and get it checked over.

Seems like I have solved the problem coil pack is on its way out so trying to source a new one thanks for your help

I’m having a issue on start-up from cold there is a noticeable lumpy idling. This hasn’t caused any massifier codes when scanning via VCDS. Last year as part of the service the sparkplugs were changes but the rough idol is getting more noticeable. My Audi had the same issue that eventually resulted in constant misfire. That was diagnosed as having a carbon build-up. I don’t want to have the same issue occurring with the Fabia. As the CTHE is direct injection and has done 41k miles I’m guessin

Hello, on the dashboard there is storagebox which has button to open it. sadly for some reason and some how, the button broke and i need to buy new button. i searched the web and saw that i can't buy only the button but the whole storagebox. the only places i found the storage box, are over at Russian sites (Which i don't speak, even though i used translator). Can anybody help me with that?. I'm looking for storagebox to replace the one in my ca

Little update since i posted about my Superb 280 going stage 2 back in may. I have questioned the high torque figure ( 618nm) with the tuner and was assured that it's a safe map, ok i left it at that. Three days after remap, car starts burning oil without even being pushed hard. So i switched to thicker 5w40 Castrol Edge ( issue rectified) Week later i pinned it from traffic lights and car cut power after 5000rpm. Gear changes felt really rough and jerky. Questioned it with the tuner, got nowher

It may be a conceit, but I believe I have a reasonable idea on how to get good mpg from an ICE vehicle, especially around our urban environment and without breaking laws. I don't hyper-mile or drive slowly or do anything to annoy other drivers, I just allow a couple of extra metres and anticipate traffic conditions. I'm also aware that there is a difference in best economy and best efficiency of an ICE engine. I've got no real experience with EVs other than the occasional drive, but I am intere

I just put a new Alternator clutch on my2.0tdi CFFB but the new belt is squealing. The tensioner was new a year ago, but doesnt seem to have the tension needed all the time. It can feel loose, or feel ok but starts squealing . When you move the tensioner bolt, it feels like it is catching and needs pushing back into position. Is something broken? Is there an easy fix or do I just put a new tensioner in? (I know how difficult it is to do)
