Creaking From Front End

Featured Replies

As the title says, I'm getting a strange creaking sound which I'm sure is coming from the front end. I've recently replaced all bushes with powerflex and superpro equivalents, top mounts and bearings and fitted KW coilovers. I can't think what could be causing it, does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

I've not had a chance too look if i'm honest, its only been 2 - 3 months since I put them on

Worth spraying up the rear end bushes with some ptfe type grease just to rule it out.. it's so easy and quick to do and the Fabia is renowned for the back end creaking in colder temperatures... mine does it every winter now and the grease always shuts it up.

Thanks Rob I'll give them a spray at the weekend, I'm planning on changing the rear bushes to powerflex as their the only ones I haven't done yet.

I'd fit the Superpro ones as they are a two piece design and easier to fit then the Powerflex ones!......I wish I'd known about them!!!!.. :S

My post re bushes...........http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/200949-upgrade-the-bushes/

And the noise????........did you grease the contact area between the ARB and the ARB bush with copper grease??????......or if the noise clunks abit then could be the ARB drop links!......also what Console bushes (rear bush on front wishbone) did you fit?????

The main reason i'm more tempted for the powerflex bushes is the fact their about half the price.

Gave all the contact surfaces liberal ammounts of copper grease. I never replaced the droplinks so maybe it could be them. I was going on the assumption you did not require shortened droplinks with KW coilovers though. Console bushes are powerflex, ARB bushes are superpro
