Elegance Rear Armrest

Featured Replies

My Octavia L&K Estate has a rear armrest that folds down from the backrest. Behind the aperture in the backrest (that the armrest fits when folded up) there is a plastic shield which separates the car interior from the boot; the shield can be folded down to allow long objects to extend from the boot into the car.

Does the Yeti Elegance have a similar arrangement? If not, how do you separate the boot from the interior when the armrest is down - or prevent the leather armrest getting grubby if folded up while carrying stuff in the boot?

No. You can't stop the contents of the boot from coming forward without modifying something. It is the whole backrest that folds forward and it has the cup holders in it.

If you have Gobi interior it is more apparent.

This is (to my mind) a glaring design fault and one wonders how it got past what presumably is a fairly lengthy process of putting together a new car.

Hopefully it will be rectified in Yeti Mark II!

And yes I have specified Gobi interior - any after market add-ons available that cover the gap?

Don't know were my good lady got it from (was living in the airing cupboard for some time before I acquired it :giggle: ) but I use a black fleece travel rug hung fron the parcel self and held in place by the dealer supplied wrap round parcel shelf net.

Personally I think anything more permanent would detract from the Yeti's (& Roomsters) flexibility.

Nice thinking will look for a suitable travel rug when i am out

I got a black fleece from IKEA and it does exactly what the Plumber shows above.

BUT I've stopped driving with the middle seat down because the seat belt buckles are designed such that they get wedged between the two seat squabs and if the seat is left down too long they leave nasty (and seemingly permanent) dent marks in the leather. Be warned! emoticon-0106-crying.gif
