Rear Door Speakers

Featured Replies

G'day all

one of my rear door speakers (the one next the door pull) is not working! had a little search around here to see if there were any hints for where to look for a loose connection although i couldnt find anything especially useful.

all the other speakers are working fine around the car, any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Have you checked that the radio balance/fader has not been played with/incorrectly set?

Have you checked the cabling to the offending speaker and head unit?

the radio balance and all those settings are fine, and i can hear the difference it makes to the other speakers around the car.

as for the wiring i found a post suggesting to look at the wiring to the rear speakers in the boot. this was causing the problem for someone else as it wasnt plugged in, but mine all seems to be connected

just wondering where to look next, is there anywhere obvious/easy to access before i start taking head unit out or taking speakers out or anything else?

I want to get it working again tho, not disconnect it completely :p ! i hadnt noticed the difference till i sat in the passenger seat and my dad gave me a lift somewhere in the car. Who knows i might find it to be irritating as some other people have, but at least then i can choose to disconnect it

that said cheers for the link  , i might go see if i can access the pannel using the screwdirver as suggested !

EDIT: Took to the actual speaker with a screw driver and got it out of the door, no lose connections as far as i can see. I think it might just be that speaker is knackered.
