Hey All,

I noticed this evening that a new Octavia brochure has been released on the skoda.co.uk website.

Seems strange that they have issued a new one as it has only been a couple of months since the last issue.

As someone with a car on order, I was keen to go through it and understand any changes.

Here's what I've noticed:

vRs - A new note stating that the 170PS engine does not have gear change recommendation on manual or DSG

Options - some small price increases of £5/£10, not applied to everything but just on certain things.

Colours - The scout has lost "safari metallic" and a new colour called "Storm blue" is available from Feb on all models

Thanks for the update. My car is due to be built in week 3 so any chnages in spec now may affect it.

Storm Blue looks wrong in the brochure, very similar to the Race Blue, should be darker!

Just read the post.

There have been some changes in to this year from last, which have been noticed (metallic costs a bit more and extras have gone up).

Storm Blue was a previous colour up until early last year which for some unknown reason was then discontinued but now has been added again. It is darker than Race Blue, a nice deep metallic is probably the best way to describe it.

As for the changes affecting build weeks, this would not be the case and all prices that were agreed at time of order are upheld so nasty extras to surprise anyone.

My last Octy vRS was in Anthracite & my new Fabia vRS is Steel Grey and very nice it is too.

I think that an Octy in this colour would look pretty spiffin indeed for those who like the whole silvery/grey thing.

My new Greenline Octavia company car was delivered yesterday. I ordered steel grey despite never seeing it in the flesh on an Octavia but I think it really suits it.

Is it just me or is this brochure one of the crappest PDF conversions ever? Can hardly read it unless you make it 125%+, then you lose what's on the rest of the page. And I hate Adobe too.
