Got to be a typo or something dodgy

Featured Replies

BS that what it is. One of many scammers IMO

some sort of scam? seems strange to have an email address within the advert

There must be something, I hope so anyway or even the diesels aren't holding their value

Either Julie missed a '1' off the front of her asking price or she lives in Nigeria.

Typo I imagine it should have a 1 in front of it

These scams are all over autotrader and other advertising medias all the time.

They suck you in, get you to place a deposit and buggar off with your £££'s.

If it seems to good to be true, it is

It's a diesel, so very dodgy!

I've mentioned the ad to Autotrader on Twitter, they're normally pretty responsive

Cool, the email address seemed weird on top of the rediculously low price. I said to my mate it's too good to be true before even looking. You don't get anything for free in this day and age

Did you mention the fresh coffee and donuts that were hidden in the boot? That would have got their attention. :giggle: :giggle:

might be a cat C or something if so a fair price but 99.9% likely a scam

Google the phone number brings up another car on auto trader same phone No but different similar dodgy email address again OVERLY cheap Audi.......... throttle these people add that one to twitter too anyone whos into tweeting

When I got my Mk1 Furby VRS it was suspiciously low in its price and NO ONE bought it for weeks and weeks then it dropped a lil then a lil more :giggle: it was genuine and 2.5 years and double the miles later I got my money back does happen just highly unlikely.

it shows all the common signs of being scam, email address in advert and hardcoded onto pictures to stop you calling the number, no real description, its just wrong.

This is usually done by posting an advert from a hijacked autotrader account, they sometimes target dealer accounts as it looks more legit.

I have reported it, I wonder if autotrader will do anything.

if you wish to as well, the link is under the safety and security option at the top of the page.

The link has gone. There was a similar one back in September when I was looking to buy a secondhand Octavia II. I assumed it was too good to be true and ignored it.

Both removed from AutoTrader  They should never have tried messing with a Skoda! Lesson learnt Mr/Mrs nasty car scammer !
