What is the standard boost pressure on a vrs?

Ahhh this was what I was wondering.

So 2.3bar is read from the map? but the turbo is actually running at 1.3?

IE. If I T a mechanical boost guage into the vac lines the guage would read 1.3? (ish)

yes. VCDS will read 1 bar of pressure at tickover. (or 980mbar to 1030mbar depending on the weather )

There is no boost vacuum line to tap in to (like a petrol) - you have to physically tap into the boost pipework somehow. There are options.

Is there not a vac line on..uh..dammit. Its near the back of the engine bay next to the throttle body. Kinda looks like a dump valve. I will have a search anyway.

There are vacuum lines, but boost does not run through any of them. They control other things like turbo actuation

I suspect your looking at the EGR valve.

Mines peaks at 3 bar/ 30 psi and levels off to around 2.5 bar.

No print as yet, due to not having a remap. But running same engine mods as Luke leary and his is around 240bhp.

I dont think his is running that kinda boost though!? I`m running a similar set up, same turbo, cooler, mapper and was running 200bhp on 1.7bar! Cant see it needing that much more pressure for an extra 20-40bhp. :wonder:
