Winter Grille Covers

Featured Replies

You'll cover the intercooler up if its a tsi and thatsbnot a good thing

I really don't think it's cold enough for them unless it's regulary below freezing (below -2) at least.

They're intended for deep cold countries, like Czechoslovakia etc. Yes, they definately would help if very cold.

I have been looking at these for ages, just never bothered.

They seem to be a better price now, though. Not sure what the shipping is but they were deffo more expensive. This may be due to newer shape... older one getting cheaper.I liked the upper peice, looks a bit like the grille on one of the smaller Audi's. Not sure if it will be effective in our climate but recon you will almost certainly have to remove it for the summer. B)

stick a piece of cling film on the grille..much cheaper

Pointless in the UK, it just doesn't get cold enough. Blocking the intercooler isn't a good thing either.

Probably not worth it in this country - plus so far no sign of really harsh weather this year (famous last words)

main reason i'd say is to protect the radiator from the salt

definatly famous last words! -6 tomorrow here ha... think i may do what i saw on a car earlier today, piece of acrylic plastic shaped to fit with some cable ties to hold it on, looked quite neat for a budget job, only to protect the radiator :)
