Diesel accumulating in filter lid

Featured Replies

After finding my fuel filter full of diesel (2.0l TDi) I have been checking the lines and find no leaks. After drying everything off and running the engine at 2000rpm I have noticed a pool appearing at the join of one of the steel pipes to the lid. Using tissue to dap under the rubber pipe it was dry so my only conclusion is that the "weld" joint has failed.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Can anyone give me an idea on price of a new lid and where to get one?

Thanks.

You need a complete new housing not just the lid, don't think you can get the lid on its own.

Done a few over the years.
