New to the VRS fold

Featured Replies

Having searched high & low for months for the "right" car I today took ownership of a beautiful blue beast.

One prior viewing, an RAC inspection, a stupidly early start today, a 6 hour round trip and I'm one happy bunny!

Race Blue petrol Octavia.

Having found it advertised on Pistonheads I discovered its a former Briskoda members car and having trolled the forums for some months picking up invaluable tips and information I stumbled on his history with the car.

The Octavia formerly known as FA57 VRS!

Despite needing a new windscreen and some work to two of the alloys its clear that this was one pampered car an absolute credit to its original owner. Wherever you are, THANK YOU!

Having the interesting companion of a brand new diesel VRS on the drive I'll be interested to see how they line up but after a 3 hour drive today it pulls like a ruddy train and thats without the Bluefin stage 1 I have sat in the boot waiting!

Having grinned and giggled through most of the drive home I treated her to a darned good wash and now have an evening with the manuals ahead!

welcome to briskoda

Hi and welcome aboard.

So now I know why you said you were no longer interested in mine :)

I'm sure you've got a good one there - enjoy!

Have you taken delivery of your new Superb yet?

Welcome aboard buddy - looking forward to seeing some pictures and updates on my old car!

I was the original owner - and had FAST VRS for 3 years and approx 22k miles.

Hope you have lots of fun.... such a great car

Sure now it has gone to a good home , Steve treated it like mint, not sure if the guy he sold it to did ( alloys were perfect ) pics here of the beauty when he sold it , http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/195267-2008-skoda-octavia-vrs-tfsi-race-blue-fa57-vrs/page__p__2321655__fromsearch__1#entry2321655

and I noticed you found about the plate on retention

I've been doing some research around the forum since my search for a blue beast began and became well aquainted with Steves history with the car. I'd admired his ad pics (and that private plate!). Luckily for me all his hard work was still in plentiful evidence. It'll certainly be pampered by its new keeper.

Certainly wasn't implying any curb altercations were down to Steve! :o

Hello Drumtech and welcome along
