S U P E R B Spacing

Featured Replies

Before taking delivery of my Superb I noticed that there were no badges on the back apart from the Skoda emblem.

With my former Toledo I spaced the word T O L E D O across the boot, the same style as the LEON Cupra R, I am since toying with the idea of doing this to my Superb.

I have measured the gap at the bottom of the boot under the number place recess, this is 70mm, and the Skoda lettering is 46ish mm.

What I am asking is, do I put the badge on like it already is, or shall I space it out with 20mm gaps between the letters?

Also I have the 1.9 TDI silver piece to go on as well, but would rather put this in the top right corner of the boot where SUPERB would normally go.

Any comments etc would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

p.s I know a lot of people prefer de badging but I am a bit undecided.

I think done right, S U P E R B would look good. Its just you see this done on a lot of other cars now - I saw one yesterday with simply P U G on it, spaced out to be about 10cm in total.

It would be different to say the least. Don't do what I did and put a badge under the Skoda emblem on the boot. It never really looked quite right. :)

Thanks for the quick reply, what I was thinking was to space the letters at 20mm apart, which is about the same size as the letters, so kind of one letter, one space, one letter, rather than large spaces between the letters.

Have a play between spacing and take lots of pics making note what spacing you used, then kick back on your computer and see which you think looks best... or post them on here for opinions

Thats asuming you have a Digi cam :)

tbh not my cup of tea at all, if just about works on evo's but other than that its a big no no for me, like lexus lights. they look alright(just) on a lexus but crap on other cars. in my opinion of course

I knew a bloke who refused to call it a Superb and always referred to it as a "Super B"

just a thought
