Brake help

Featured Replies

Hey all, I am looking to fit new disks and pads all round to my 2006 Fabia vRS. I am hopefully going to let the Fabia see some track action this year, so want disks and pads that are sutable for both road and track use.

I have looked at EBC setup (Turbo Groove Disks and Green Stuff Pads) and it comes to the best part of £400. :o Can this setup warrant that extra cost?

I have also looked at Mintex, I have seen a all round setup with Mintex pads and disks for £145. See: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Fabia-vRS-Drilled-Grooved-Brake-Discs-Front-Rear-/300576558748?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45fbc24e9c

I know the disks are unbranded, is this a particular problem?

And finally, Shall I just stick with standard ones? these seem to be alot cheaper. However, are these sutable for track use as well as road use?

At the moment I am swaying towards the Mintex setup, but I dont want to mess this up as it could have serious, obvious, consequences...

Thanks for any help. :)
