As I lack the technical know how I thought someone might help me out ....

Ok driving on M5 tonight 10 - 15mins into the drive first of all couldn't get the cruise control to work at'all and then the lost drive/power when in sixth and changing gear and re-pressing the accelerator got the drive back instantly this happened around then times within a 15 minuet window, 20mins later tried the cruise control which worked and wasn't getting any power surges or problems. I was thinking it could be some sort of sensor or it could some sort of problem when the engine is running cold / warm but that's just my humble opinion.

Would anybody please shed any light of what they think what causing these problems? and thank you in advance.

yeah just checked all lights working fine...
