Thanks for the warm welcome. I have chosen a Superb Executive, 2.0 CR, DSG, 4x4, hatchback.

I was looking for a well specified saloon or estate to replace a 4 x 4, but not lose diesel, automatic, 4 x 4 or generous carrying space. I have always admired Skoda for their finish, reputation and range of cars. Once you consider price too, and benchmark it, it becomes a clear choice.

Collected the car on 31.03.2012, so it was a March delivery - just.

Am hugely impressed by the quality of finish (panel fits, shut lines) and the paintwork is excellent too. For a large car with a 2 litre engine, the performance has an urgency I did not expect, whilst 70 on the motorway feels like 50. The gear change is seamless and probably helps greatly to enhance the rate of progress and the relaxed long legged cruising style.
