Any pics of wind deflectors on a mk1 Octy?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just bought a set of Team HEKO wind deflectors for the octy as I've had them on the past 2 cars I've had and they were really good at keeping wind noise down and keeping the interior from steaming up.

So has anyone got any pictures of them fitted to the front of an octavia mk1? Preferably an RS!

Thanks :)

Think flybikeslee has them on his yellow vrs

I've got a set on mine I'll try and get some pics m8. They also work quite well in frost, last night the deflectors were well iced up but the windows were clear lol

same ones as mine

I got a front set of HEKO's for my mk1 yrs ago before I knew the difference between mk1, mk2, A4, A5 etc... The only way I could get them to fit was cut about 2 inches from the lower end with a hacksaw, they fitted fine and worked well. I now have the same set on my mk2 (which I now know they were meant for) and they'r great... I'v had a few occasions where someone sat in front for first time panics and shouts to stop car because they catch sight of thier deflector and think the door isn't closed properly lol

Thanks guys! Just read this now.

I fitted mine earlier and have a quick question.

On other cars I fitted them.. Closed the window and left to cure.. Hey presto they are all good.

These fitted quite tight within the window seal but I wouldn't say any more difficult than previous cars, a little teeth gritting moment as I bent the plastic but as previously they fitted no probz (team heko.. good shiz man)

Went to close the windows to let them seal and on the passengers side the anti trap window set in sending the window down..

To close it shut fully I had to hold the deflector away from the car and lift the window on the button at the same time. The drivers side is a bit better. I suppose I will know overnight.

The kit came with 2 little metal clips that I'm guessing are of some use but I've never used them in the past.

I will leave the car over night and see if the window channels and deflector have settled better.

If not, any suggestions? I dont see how the metal clips will help much, if anything it will pack the deflector out more than at present.

Hmmmm

sorry cant help, but where did you buy them? quite fancy a set for mine

Cheers

im unsure about how they would look on my car, on the yellow and the black i can see they would work but might stand out too much like a cheap addition to silver and red?

I think they'd look quite tacky on the silver.. think red would be okay!

this exact listing mate.

Anti trap isn't too bad now, I assume the seals are just getting accustomed to being stretched a little more now or something. going to give it overnight with no window down then try again tomorrow

found out the clips are more to secure the deflector if they are flexing or insecure.. the thing is with the HEKO ones is that they are so tight to fit, there isn't really room for them to flex, apparently the clips can help prevent the anti trap pushing the deflector away from the window thinking it's a foreign object but time will tell!

I have them too lol ... Great value for money and well worth the pennies

The anti trap on my drivers door does its thing once in a blue moon, most of time no issues... Apparently they'r paintable, havent seen any done body colour yet.
