Hey guys, I have started to get clutch sli, and I think I'm gonna replace with helix and smf I have a quite aggressive map an with this being the second clutch I've gone through since owning I thought I may as well shell out, the partner also want to keep the car now so I can't get the octy, Ali at unit 18 will do the clutch either way, I will probably hybrid and stage 2 map at the same time asthe clutch, Ali told me about seat Ibiza fmic j just wondered if there is a cheaper alternative, as I'm gonna be spending a small fortune to hybrid and that so want to try and keep costs down any advice greatly appreciated

Cheaper alternative to what FMIC or Clutch?

What bhp and torque you going for?

Sorry fmic, I need to spend out for the clutch it's my kind of driving that kills the standard clutch

Bhp wise anything between 220-240

I set up a group buy for a complete FMIC kit £200. Its in group buys section mate if your interested put your name down and the number is in there for orders too

I did see that group buy im still a bit unsure there were good points and bad and I know nothing about intercoolers, has anyone else had one put on that is running that sort of power

Nobody else fitted that I know of yet but a couple have recieved the kit and have said its good quality. Tiz knows a fair bit about the subject mate and I trust his input.

The fact the kit is single pass is a big positive over the twin pass units such as ss and forge.

It will easily hold the power you are looking for.

Ok cool, if it will hold that sort of power then looks like it will be the route I go down

There is nothing in between either its either £200 for this or £500 - £700 for ss and forge ones. Massive difference in price and I dont think the "direct" fit application is worth the extra £300 - £500 when this kit for £200 is fitted with ease if you have some wits about you.

So is this a straight fit I ain't gonna be doing the work, it's being done at unit 18 so I'd imagine Ali will be ok getting it done
