Just got my VRS!

Featured Replies

Just got my new VRS yesterday and man i have fallen in love. Its such a great car to drive, and its tight as a drum even at 95k.

I was blown away by the power it pulls like a train and the power comes in big lumps haha, the traction control comes in if i plant it in 2nd or 3rd, I think that's the map haha

Im still getting used to the size of it, its so much bigger than the fabia but thanks to shroud (previous owner) it handles amazingly, i can see what you boys are on about when you talk about the RARB and hicon gt coilovers.

Touch wood i havent had any post buying niggles well only one that was easy to fix, the front passenger wheel nuts where a bit loose so the wheel vibrated but i tightened them and thats fixed.

I also have the mooing breaks but i have the balance weights so i think that will cure it!

Also i upgraded the headunit today as tbh the normal one is crap , i loose the CD changer but i have an ipod so i dont mind!

Here is a list of the mods so far:

Shark stage 1 remap

Green cotton panel filter

compbrake DV

Silicone breather Hoses

Weitec Hicon GT coilovers

RARB

Pollybushed

Front mesh grill

Tinted rear windows,

LED numberplate bulbs (sidelights to fit)

Carbon wrapped Centre console trim

Sony CD player

Pioneer rear speakers

Uprated Headlight bulbs

Aero Wipers

Plans for the future:

Uprated SMIC (bought a a really good one off here very cheap)

S3 upper and lower strut brace

Stainless exhaust turbo back inc sports cat (resonated)

More silicone pipes

CAI maybe not too sure yet

Sub-woofer and maybe upgrade front speakers i like my music haha

Change the alloys At some point, yes i like them but they are the 16" and i feel they look a bit small for the car i would prefer the 17"

I shall add some more pics inc interior when i have given her a throughout clean

Very smart car that one although Gary did say its due a cambelt and waterpump? I'd get that done before blowing money on mods. You sure they are 16's only the estate came with 16's

Cambelt and waterpump and mot is all booked for next week! yay

Mods are near future as i will be doing them in time and money needs,

And yeh 16's funny story as gary swapped his 17's for winter tyres on steels and then realised he wouldnt sell the car on winters so found a set of 16's on here to swap so he could sell the car :)

Nice one mate :)

And another silver.... I am so likeing the silvers lately

If i had spare cash somewhere id try and take your standard heaf unit of u if its tidy and a symphony lol

Any ideas what wheels your planning?

defo get the 17's on it. Standard wheels all the way for me!

16's look tiny mate, defo need some bigger rims.....

17" spyders i think i do like the standard rims

saying that if i had to buy wheels anyway id get something different. 17" spiders in mint condition with tires are pricey.

What about bbs lms?

im not sure tbh maybe some 18" audi rs4 reps, ill have to see whats on offer

I have a set of S4 wheels.....original! need a refurb but have all centre caps :smirk:

any tyres or will i have to get them sorted? what you want for them?

I was planning having them powder coated in black and trying to sell them for a lot but it of course never works that way.

To factor in the fact they need a refurb (roughly £180) and will need tyres then i can do them for £175

its this type but in silver with the centre caps.
