I think i have lost my SKC code where can i find it?

Featured Replies

so my fob isn't working and it needs recoding. However after reading up on how to do it apparently I need to enter my skc code which is on some tag? Well i remember having a white tag on the key when I got the car however I don't know where this has gone so does anybody know how I can find out this code??

Help is appreciated

Jay

Vag k commander 1.4.

Either that or take it to your local dealer who can then code it online using ODIS.

The SKC numbers are no longer disclosed as its a security measure.

Thanks for the reply, so I can't do it myself using a vcds without this code? And will they give me a new code when they recode it so if it ever stopped working again because it was working and then I took the battery out for too long when replacing it :(

Dealers don't have access to skc anymore so no they won't give you it as they can't.

Search for it on eBay :)

What is this?

It's a ripped off clone of a very expensive piece of kit.

VAG Tacho is another way of getting the PIN code from the clocks.

And it shows. Very flakey software. But does the job.

What part are you trying to get working? If they key starts the car and you just need to re program the remote you don't need the SKC for that, immobiliser and central locking are separate systems.

Yeah the key starts the car fine, it's just my remote locking doesn't work so I looked on the fabia vrs website and it says you need the skc code?

Procedure For Matching Remote Key Fobs To The Car:

Using a spare key switch the ignition on.

Insert the key to be programmed into the driver’s door lock.

Manually lock the driver’s door using the key.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob once.

Wait for a least one second.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob twice.

The vehicle horn will sound to indicate correct programming.

As I said, that's to code the immobiliser NOT the remote

To code the remote if you have VCDS

46 conv system

10 - Adaptation

Channel 00 and delete learned values

Channel 1 enter number of keys

Save then press one of the remote buttons once on each remote, should chirp to confirm its programmed.

Hi, I tried this and it beeped when I pressed the button the first time but when I pressed it a second time nothing happened and now the central locking isn't working on the car. Will it need to be programmed on a vag com I'm guessing?

Can you please look at the above comment, as I think I may have broke my central locking aha or would this just be enabled with a vag com?
