Monte Voice dialling

Featured Replies

Afternoon,

Had my Monte since November and been very pleased with it, I bought it ex-demo and came with MFD, cruise, bluetooth and the Swing stereo.

I just wondered if it would have the voice dialling or not? I've looked through the handbook and scrolled through all the menu's on the MFD and can't seem to spot it.

It doesn't have the steering wheel controls (not sure if that makes a difference?).

Just wondered if I'm being thick and can't find it, or if it never had it in the first place!

And finally if it hasn't got it, can I add it??

Cheers in advance.

Callum :)

If it's the same as the vRS, press and hold the volume roller.

edit: on the steering wheel controls, which you don't have. Looks like from the manual it's either done with the wheel button, or one on the phone holder, which you presumably don't have either.

Nope I don't have either, so guess I need the MFSW for that to work?

Without the button Installed here is the procedure for voice dialling;

(I) drive until you are within 400 metres of the call recipient.

(2) wind down window.

(3) shout firmly " RING ME!" whilst waving a little finger and thumb in a handy phone shape like they do on telly.

(4) when the phone rings, answer with the button. Er, no, wait, the stalk button then.

(5) ringer and ringee can now conversate happily.

(6) hang up with the button. Wait, the other button again.

(7) alternatively if it is fine, consider getting out of your vehicle to save on charges, but apply plenty handbrakeing.

Haha! I like, but seeing as it's a company car & my area is Europe then I might be racking up even more miles just to ring someone....

Hold down the left hand toggle button and you will get a new set of options. In the options you should find Phone if you have the GSM setup then press the enter button underneath the stalk and you will get the phone options, if not I think you will find something like bluetooth and enable music player.

To get back to MFD hold the right toggle switch up.

Cheers for the response, I know how to access all the menu's as I said before and went through them all, but can't see anything listed for it, I just wondered if you can have voice dialling without the MFSW?

Cheers
