vrs fabia to either superb or octy estate

Featured Replies

At the moment on my second vrs fabia, but got a baby due any day and also a dog! Thinkin about swapping to either a superb estate, or a Octy vrs estate. Both diesel. Any tips or advice on which is best or which will suit a family better? Still want to keep a good drive though and will be re mapping

The Suberb is a great car, but it's huge and more expensive. Rear leg room is amazing if you put adults in the back.

If you don't need a supertanker I'd go for the Octy. Plenty about so prices are more reasonable too.

How big is the dog?

What is the budget?

Early days with the baby will make you wish you owned a Luton Van not a car but will soon pass. Plenty of room in an Octy if you don't want to pay more.

I do like the superb estate looks better than the hatch imho.

I had an 03 plate Octy Hatch with my first and a big Lab. Plenty of room, assuming that the new shape Octy has similar space.

Depends on what you consider better, the Superb is much better equipped than a vRS Octavia, but it also costs more, so it's horses for courses,

IMO the Superb rides better (mileage eater) but I would imagine a vRS would handle better through the twisty bits due to being lighter, that said the Superb does handle well for a car of it's size.

Just some of the things you get as std on an Superb Elegance (estate) are:

Electrically adjustable leather seats (heated front) with VERY good lumbar adjustment

Bi-xenon's with AFS (Adaptive Front-Light System - lights that bend round corners and change beam pattern depending on your speed)

Columbus sat nav & Premium GSM III telephone prep

MFSW

TPM*

CC*

Electrically folding door mirrors

Door handle illumination (inside)

Footwell lights

Rear parking sensors*

Maxidot

Umbrella (in rear door)

I have tried to list above what are not std on a vRS (not sure if these * are std? as I don't own an Octavia vRS),

You need to look at them and decide what is more important to you and of course how much you want to spend

The dog I have is A lab. Cant fit the dog and pram in the fabia at the same time. It's the diesel vrs octy still a good drive?

From what you've said, I'd go with the Octy; the Superb is a bit of a barge.

You're used to diesels, so you'll enjoy the vRS TDi.
