mooing brakes and a drip in the engine bay

Featured Replies

Rite guys two things i have the mooing brakes very annoying and i have balance weights to fix on to fix the prob but anyone got any pics on where exactly to fix them on?

Also today whilst wiring my amp up looking for a good place to feed through i encountered a drip in the engine bay, its on the passenger side rite at the back of the engine bay right at the bottom on the bulkhead there a drip dripping down to a puddle of odourless liquid, at fist i thought coolant as it was on the low side but it cant be that far back and its not red/pink. I will do a code scan and try and take a photo, i took one today but its not that good. i shall upload it anyway as it kind of shows where im looking.

behind the thing with the yellow label, i know this is vague but its the best i can do at the mo

Sounds like the drain from the aircon that's dripping. Which is normal.

It's just the aircon.

If you sit in the car for a few minutes after you've been for a drive and used the aircon you will hear it gurgling and dripping behind the dash.

With regards to the balance weight kit, here's one i prepared earlier:

Once the old part is off, fit the new one by following the steps in reverse. Its quite a tight fit and you will need to be fairly robust to get the new bits in place

Taking the rear wheels off will make it easier, gives you more room to work, likewise letting the handbrake off. I was able to do mine this way, although i know others have said theyve needed to slacken the handbrake cable off.
