Hi folks, my 56plate Octavia vrs estate passed its MOT earlier this week, (I bow to the applause), however it did come back with an advisory which I quote:

Nearside Rear Anti-roll bar linkage has slight play in a ball joint [2.4.G.3]

I'm aware of the rear anti roll bar but 'a ball joint' on the rear? Does anybody have an idea where specifically it points to? Or a 'wobble & poke test' that I could perform to check where & what the problem may be?

Sounds like the droplinks, mines a September 56 plate, replaced mine together with anti roll bar poly bushes and new dampers, the bushes and droplinks were shot pics on my post here http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/224114-bushes-and-dampers/page__st__20
