Hello!

I've finally bought an Octavia VRS! I dealt with All Electric garages in Kings Heath, Birmingham. The Octavia they had in the showroom was pretty much spot on in terms of major spec (Estate, Candy White, Leather, Diesel and manual) and I took delivery on Saturday 21st January - the car had just 56 miles on the clock.

Looking forward to many happy (and economic) miles of motoring and a few retrofit and upgrade projects in the next 3 years - Briskoda is a great source of exchanging information! :-)

I am new hear and have also just bought a new Octavia VRS Estate. I pick mine up tomorrow. I wanted to ask what colour trim came with your car? The trim I had seen in all 2010/2011 VRS models and on the website and brochure was a brushed aluminium / silver trim. I went to sign the papers on Tuesday and view my car and saw that the trim was black carbon fiber effect. I am not complaining as it looks very cool but I can not find a picture or reference to this colour trim anywhere and my VRS was the only car that came in with this colour! The guy at the showroom thinks it may be part of the leather pack and so I was wondering if you have the same?

Hello Rich7 - Mine has the brushed metal finish on the interior. 5 days in and 750 miles on the clock, so yep, could say Im enjoying the vRS!!!!

Each to there own I suppose! I think it looks really classy, bit more expensive looking and suits the interior perfect. I will try and get some pics posted this week. I just mentioned it as it was never an option, I thought I was getting the silver trim (which I was happy with) but was pleasantly suprised!

Glad to hear your enjoying yours. Just got mine and love it to pieces! Cant wait to reach that mileage so I can start putting my toe down! Still unsure if I made the right choice with the DSG. Its definately a smooth ride though!

Hope you are enjoying your new motor. I tried the DSG and it found it quite a sporty gearbox - however my last car was an auto so wanted a change back to manual. Look forward to see the photo's of your need steed, I'll get some sorted of mine next weekend after I wash it.
