Cant burn disks?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Im am in so way PC clever and i cant figure this out;

Trying to burn music onto a disk on Windows media player, put in blank disk, WMP reconises the disk and tells me what free space i have, drag and drop music onto burn list but the 'burn' button is still grayed out asif there is no music there :S

I know this quiet simple stuff but i dont get technology :no:

Wouldn't bother with WMP - Download CD Burner XP - Its free and easy :thumbup:

If they're Windows Media format files, then they may have DRM and can be blocked from burning (i.e. piracy). There's probably ways around it, but my choice is to buy music in a more "open" format like OGG or MP3...

You could also try another app, I used to use a program called Burrrrrrn! for burning audio format CDs, not sure whether it would do WMA formats though as I don't have any to test with.

Funnily enough I've just copied a disc using CD Burner XP, very easy to use.

IS the disc for in-car use? IF so I used to use Windows Explorer and drag and drop that way.

Thanks guys ill download that CD burner see if that works

Yeah its for car use, i have an AUX port which i mainly use but i like a little back up music

I use win7 ultimate and the win media centre.......BUT I rip/download everything in WAV formats......so much easier and way less hassle with "protection" etc.......But sometimes copy music files/burn etc outwith media player and use the standard windows "explorer"......so far so good...... B)
