VRS - big enough ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am looking to get a VRS but am unsure if it will be big enough, does anyone know if i will have room in the rear for a baby seat, a booster seat and one other child ( ages 9,7 and 2 )

Space in the boot isn't really an issue so its purely on rear space, I could go for bigger sporty diesels but my brother had a re-mappped VRS which performed fantastically while still being good on fuel.

Cheers for any advice

It would be big enough but child may be a bit cramped inbetween the 2 seats. As they stick out loads. My step mum had the same issue as you in a Corsa C. Never complained, until I sat in the middle lol! Then it was tight! 16st and 6ft mind....

Cheers, the baby seat ain't a huge one and the booster is quite narrow so maybe i will be ok, i just won't let the eldest eat too much so he fits nicely lol.

Another 12 months and booster will be gone and baby seat will swap for a booster so all will even better then !!

If your still unsure take a trip to a dealers they will probably be very accommodating in letting you trial fit everyone in the back

How tall are u I have my seat quite far back and wouldn't say there was room behind for a child I'm 6 2

I would say Not.

I struggle with my 4 Year old.

If I had kids I'd go for an octy vrs diesel variant. The fabia can fit 4-5 people but it won't be spacious or overly comfortable over long distances.

Fabia chassis is the a polo but with a bigger shell, but not as big as a golf. Octy chassis is like a golf with a bigger shell. :)

Depends what sort of driving you do IMO.

Short trips = Yes, but it's a squeeze.

Long trips = Not if I could help it!

I haven't found any dealers local enough to have a look yet, but will do when i do.

I am 6 ft tall but don't have my seat too far back anyway.

Well yes you will be able to fit the 2 seats in and have room in the middle but how comfortable everyone will be is another question!

I only had 1 child seat in mine and the boot was full as soon as i put a buggy in it. I coped for 3 months then upgraded to an octy II due to the lack of room.

I miss my vrs though :S

As long as they fit safely then thats ok, buggy is very small when folded so shouldn't be an issue.

Don't think my budget will stretch to an Octy as this is mainly my commuting car so up to max of £4k really

It would be mainly short trips with the kids in, mostly to and from work for me

I would use the Evo for longer trips generally as its a practical 4 door family saloon lol

Makes sense then to me.

I too have an impractical "sqeeze them in" car and a sensible one.
