3.6 v6 miles to a tank

Featured Replies

I have read some of the posts about what people are getting around town and extra urban but I was wondering what mileage you are getting on average from a full tank.

Also what sort of mpg can I expect at long (200 mile+) motorway journeys at 80/90 mph?

Many thanks

On a 120 mile run, I'm getting 32-35 MPG

On a 120 mile run, I'm getting 32-35 MPG

But at 80 -90 mph?

This is what will really hurt the consumption.

On my Superb Estate (TDi) I can get 56mpg @ 65mph, however increase the speed by 5mph and this drops by 5mpg etc.

These figures are based on a 45 mile motorway run.

A recent trip into Germany on a wet December day saw this drop to an average of 46mpg @ 80mph (where allowed) this was also on winter tyres which increase my average mpg by 2 - 3.

My MPG figures are based on doing 85ish. The reason it's quite good is the fact that the engines only doin around 2000RPM at that speed

That's not bad for 85 ish as my mk1 vrs is doing about 3500 rpm and 32-34 mpg

That's the benefit of a big lazy engine

Dieseldriver are pennycounter.

What sort of mileage are you getting out of a full tank?

According to my calculator, at 33MPG, the tank will last 435.54 miles

I have 80% urban and about 20% highway driving ! my average capsaltion is 12.5 L=22.6 mpg

Normaly I fill up every 4-5 days, normaly 400-450km(250-280 miles) to next fill up ! But always about 5-8 Liters stilll left in tank

Monthly spend on fueal about 350-450 Euros

Car now is 10 month old and I have 35000km (+-22000 miles)on the clock
