I got my filter!!!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

Hey guys and girls!

I got my air filter from the K&N distributor, just had it fitted!!! It gives one hell of a deeper note than stock, and the throttle response is A class!!!! You can feel the improvement in power and torque, man it's awesome I'm so damn happy I can't express it and I just wanna pop! :D And they told me it gives 7 bhp, not 5!!!!!! So eeasy to fit too, just unscrew the housing, remove stock filter, and place new one!

YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

How much did that set you back?

 It ain't a kit! It's just a filter specially made for the 2.0 Fabia! All it is to fit is remove the top part of the housing, remove old filter, replace with new filter (which you service once every 50,000/100,000 miles) and put the housing back on! And from what I've been told by two qualified people regarding motors, it gives 5 to 7 bhp!

The change is so noticable guys!!! Third gear PULLS like a b****! I was chasing an Infinity G35 last night, and you could hear the guy flooring it!! We even recorded a video of it it was sooooooooo cool!

I will leave fitting one of these until I have run in my new Fabia 2.0, otherwise I may not appreciate it!

Oh yeah dude most definitely! Let it run at least 1000kms before you do anything to it, including lowering it, so that the shocks can warm up and get used to the bumps with the stock springs. I guarantee you will notice the change with the new filter BIG TIME!!!!:D

I guarantee you will notice the change with the new filter BIG TIME!!!!:D

But SMALL TIME on acceleration figures, right? :D

:D

Let me put it like this...it's very weird, but believe when I say that with the stock filter, when you accelerate, 2000rpm = 20kmph, 3000rpm = 30 kmph, 6000rpm = 60kmph....with the new filter, 2700rpm = 30kmph. Do the math :D

This is what I noticed yesterday, I do feel the acceleration is much better...I wonder what the top speed will be like. Haven't taken it full.

Er... wheelspin?

I thought the ratio of rpm to speed was governed by the gearbox? But then again I'm probably wrong - I usually am

OK, some more thoughts. Now I have done the math. Driving wheels have completely flat tyres, knocking about 10% off the rolling radius. So they rotate 10% faster and indicate 10% greater speed. :D

Wheel spin?? Dude, it depends on how you accelerate from 0. You probably always floor the gas before releasing the clutch don't ya..
