HI guys my interior light not working when i open the doors very strange as when i open with the key the light comes on for maybe 30 seconds same when i lock the car.i noticed that passenger door when locked or unlocked with key doesnt operate the central locking..would this have anything to do with interior light not operating when the doors are opened? any help greatly appreciated

does the car make that whiney noise if you turn the lights on with the door open and the key out? if it doesn't it might be a knackered door microswitch. its quite easy to remove and there is a guide somewhere to fixing the switch although i just bought a genuine one so it had various other damage besides.
