Cleaning Heated Alcantara Seats?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I'm waiting for a new Octavia L&K to be delivered in April which will have the leather/alcantara heated seats. I've done a search on Briskoda and it appears you can maintain them with light brushing and wipe with damp clean white cloths. I presume that wetting the seats is not a good idea due to the heating element. Anyone have any ideas how I can keep them in good condition from the off without electrocuting myself. :giggle:

Cheers

Your best bet would be to purchase a specific Alcantara Protector and then you just need to keep the Leather Clean and Conditioned over time, Raze Glaze do a good product for the Alcantara and something like Gliptone works well on the leather.......

+1 on the gliptone works really well on leather. Swimbo made me do the sofa with it as well

I've got alcantara/leather in the Superb and I protected them with GTechniq I1 Fabric Coat.

Fantastic stuff works really well - kids footprint and marks just rub off.

Also use Gliptone on the leather sections.
