mk1 Octavia maxidot

Featured Replies

Is there anything that can be done with the maxidot on the mk1?

Is was playing around with coding on VCDS this evening, tried disabling the seatbelt warning and it just disables the dash warning light. Still got the seatbelt warning in the maxidot and the bloody beeping noise!

Put your seatbelt on before you put the key in. Problem solved.

nah Rob, too simple! :giggle:

You can dissable the noise and light by disconecting the switch under the seat. You may have to bridge the wires, I can't remember without looking, but basically you are fooling the car into thinking the seat belt is permenantly on.

Yep just disconnect the connector under the drivers seat, & the beeping will stop. No need to bridge it. Used to drive me mad when I first got a VRS  I really don't need to be told to put my seat belt on.

Wonder if the airbag will still work? Will you drive into a brick wall to check please?? Don't worry if we don't hear back from you we know it didn't :giggle:

my seatbelt light comes on but doesnt beep i love it no idea why :p

I always put the key in the ignition to let the glow plugs warm up and whatnot then put my seatbelt on. For months i thought the car was moaning about a service but now i just kinda ignore it. I just pretend the car is saying hello or something :wonder:
