vRs rearguards

Featured Replies

Hi, i have a 09 Octavia vRS LE Estate and i keep scratching bumper top loading photography gear in and out of the tailgate. I have found about these RGM rearguard that stick onto top of the bumper.

The problem is i don't know whether to buy one for a MK11 or a MK111 as listed on their website. Has anyone fitted one of these to a similar vRs Estate?

Here are links to their web pages

Hi, I have one for my Estate. Great piece of kit and will protect your bumper. Looks OEM too.

Mine has, however, come partially unstuck (the long edge nearest the front of the car) and is catching the tailgate in two spots as I close the boot. This has worn away at the paint and also causes a moisture trap between rearguard and tailgate when it rains. So, if left too long, will cause a rust issue eventually.

Will have to take it off soon - probably this weekend as our pushchair in and out of the boot days are, thankfully, over.

I would say an excellent piece of kit if you can keep it properly stuck down.

Cheers,

Dunc.

Edit: If you have rear parking sensors, they will need to trim it back a little - I went to see them as my first rearguard fouled the sensors and they made me a new one at no cost - excellent customer service!

Not the best picture, sorry, but you can just see my silver SuperSkoda bumper guard on the Scout...
