Just been quoted 480inc vat for a smf clutch conversion from my local motor spares shop this includes the extra bearing needed, may be of some help to some people

Valeo do a range of SMF conversions for cheap. However, once you buy one, you have to buy Valeo parts, they don't fit with other brands. And I dunno what torque it's rated for, if you're at the level where you need an SMF then I think you might already be outside the specs of the clutch anyway...

I work in parts and there was a tech report emailed in last week saying company's such as valeo & Quientien hasel are cutting there range and stopping producing them all-together eventually. I didn't specify why tho...

Yeah, if you're on standard power and not planning huge increases in torque, I'd stay DMF. It's quieter and smoother...

At 480 odd quid they are having a laugh frankly, you could just get the smf flywheel from a breakers yard for about £20, then all you need is a new clutch kit.

Its a 6 speed bud so not the same as a g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch bud unless u know of a flywheel that fits?
